The modern slave trade

The 200th anniversary of the abolition of the British trans-Atlantic slave trade has awakened an awareness that slavery is no by-gone phenomenon.  Slavery is still found in every corner of the globe - including Europe.  The high standard of our western lifestyle is often at the expense of the vulnerable and voiceless.  The first step for us is to become aware of the true and shocking situation.
